GRANTS

To start the grant process, the first step is to complete a Letter of Intent (LOI). Once submitted, your LOI will be reviewed. If your organization is selected to apply, then we will ask you to complete our official grant application. 

Review the LOI Checklist and Instructions below.

Your Letter of Intent (LOI) should be brief (no more than 2 pages) and must include the following information:

 

1. Your a specific project.

2. The amount of the grant you are requesting -- grant requests must be in increments of $5,000, $10,000, etc. 

3. A short description of the specific project for which you are requesting the rant.

 

4. A description on how your project fits with our focus areas:

  • Art, Culture, Tourism

  • Education

  • Environment, Park, Recreation, Community Betterment

  • Health and Wellness

  • Families

5. A brief history of your nonprofit and its programs.

6. Explain how your organization impacts Crawford County and what is the extent of that impact.

 

7. A brief description of your target population.

 

8. Include a copy of the US Department of Treasury Letter affirming your organization is a tax-exempt public charity under section 501(c)(3).

 

Note: The Missouri State Tax Exemption letter does not suffice nor does a Fed Tax ID Number - MUST HAVE copy of the 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(8).
